Comparison of the men in black from previous

Inspiration from Woman in Black (previous/now)

The woman in black is where most ideas for our thriller have come from. There are many different aspects which have changed to the woman in black from previous to now
(THEN)
The Woman in Black is a horror fiction novel based in 1983 written by Susan Hill. The non fiction novel(television film)is based on the story which centres a young solicitor (Arthur Kipps), who is summoned to a small market town on the east coast to attend the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow an elderly and reclusive widow who lived alone. In 2012 a film adaption was released staring Daniel Radcliffe, who played and acted in many other films most famously known for staring in Harry Potter. In 1983 the Woman in Black was adapted into a board cast adaption on BBC radio by Stephan Mallatratt which then became famous which was then made into a television series which then followed the name of the book itself in 1989. The television series was unexpected for many people and had featured a small amount of change from the novel such as the characters names. The name Arthur was changed to kipps to kidd the dog being female to male.
(NOW)
Looking opposite we see the latest edition is out. In 2012 a new edition of the woman and black has been made into a film from a novel which stars actors like Daniel Radcliffe. The woman in black has been made into a thriller which is shown to be companied by hammer film productions. Hammer film productions, was founded in 1934 that is famous for its gothic hammer horrors. In 1970 most famously known for the films Dracula, Frankenstein and the Mummy.  The Woman in Black being remade are as scary as the ones that have been made before. The film is a exciting tense ghost story that still today keeps everyone at suspense and total fright when watching it. The woman in black is as scary as it is before due to the amount of technology that has improved and ideas from other films also. The woman in black from previous is shown to  have certain aspects which have changed and have become more up to date such as the title of the film, images and also the titles.

The above image is shown to be of the title sequence from the film adaption 'The woman in black'. The font as indicated above is shown to be effective as it is bold black and based around a while background so that the text itself can stand out being the main focus. The background of where the title is based is shown to be shadowed looking very isolated indicated with a child standing who is confused. This alone gives the viewers the representation of the place being haunted and unsafe. The text is also shown to be sharp around the edges giving us the representation of a harsh atmosphere.
In the television adaption the title is very different from the film adaption. The font of the television adaption is shown to be more sophisticated and creepy. The text is also shown to be smooth around the edges making the viewers want to see what the film has to offer as it looks creepy and the font looks smooth. The background of this text is also shown to be green with the text black. The text being black is key so that the viewers see the main focus.
