Initial ideas of mood board (PLANNING)

Initial ideas of mood board (PLANNING)

There are many types of genres of films but  as a group we decided to base our thriller as a supernatural sub-genre. We decided that the opening of our thriller will be based on the idea of a girl  who seems to have an 'imaginary friend' but they turn her and persuade her to kill a number of people.

Our idea required a lot of research on both places and people. As a group we decided to base the ghostly known as the imaginary friend upon the tudor times mostly based upon the character Tudor Thomas Culpepper. Thomas Culpepper was a groom to Henry VIII who was involved in the affair of Henry 5th wife Katherine Howard and as a result to this they were both shown to be beheaded. Our idea being based on these real life events we were able to see this as a starting point to why the ghost may seem to return. This idea grew as we also found a location which we believed was named after Thomas Culpepper.

As shown above, some images of the tudors are shown. These will be used as stills for the opening of our thriller, the stills will include Kathryn Howard (Henry the VIII and 5th wife) King Henry the VIII and Thomas Culpepper who has been currently played by the actor Torrance Coombs. I have clearly used this image
which looked like a painted portrait to make it link to the tudor era
As indicated above there are images which clearly represent the location we will like to use in the film opening. A misty park is the idea we have in where are film should be set. We will tend to use a park featuring children in a playground to clearly give the connotations of the innocence of those playing in it. We would base the opening of our thriller in the Culpepper community whereby the park will link to the Culpepper character (ghost)

Looking at ideas we could use for our thriller opening was a good idea in being able to generate a more detailed idea of how and where we are going to film the opening.
